Dan Bruder is a writer, musician, and talent acquisition expert, which is basically a fancy way of saying he’s made a career out of chasing creative dreams and convincing other people to get real jobs.
He created the web series “Who the Hell is Dan Bruder?” in 2010, which aired 12 episodes on Relix.com and reached 14 million monthly viewers who either intentionally or accidently watched it.
His debut album, “Act of Kindness,” also came out in 2010 and was somehow nominated for Album of the Year by Indie Album Digest, proving that you can confuse people into almost giving you awards. His second album, “Evolution,” came out in 2018, marking eight years of intense procrastination and occasional inspiration.
Dan also wrote a memoir, “Glimpses from the Edge,” released in 2002. He self-published it because no one else would. His friends, neighbors and some random guy in the UK lauded it as being tolerable, decent and readable.
In 2014, he was appointed Director of Recruitment for the U.S. Peace Corps, leading the agency to its highest recruitment numbers in history. This resulted in an invitation to the White House and getting an award from the Obama Administration, which he still casually brings up at dinner parties when he tries to impress.
Dan lives in the New York/New Jersey area, where he continues to create and pretends to understand social media, although most of his accounts have been hacked and now people think he is selling crypto.
